TESLA is a proud custodian of tradition

The period after 1945 brought a wave of enthusiasm, progress, and the desire to build new values. In this atmosphere, on August 10, 1946, in the Prague district of Strašnice, a modern and ambitious company was established, which brought together top experts and firms in the field of electrical engineering and radio technology. From the outset, its goals were ambitious. In the first two years of its existence, it pledged to manufacture, for example, 300,000 radio receivers, 140,000 telephones, or 3,400,000 vacuum tubes. Whom else could the name be inspired by but the famous electrical engineer Nikola Tesla? And so the national company TESLA, which until 1990 kept under its wings a wide range of firms—from small workshops for small electronics, through consumer electronics manufacturers, to large operations churning out investment electronics intended for professional and military use. Privatization followed, enabling the independence of individual parts of the company. Some of them unfortunately disappeared, but the TESLA brand has weathered all turbulences and today proudly claims its more than seventy years of tradition.

TESLA continues the golden era

A strong position of the company on the market in 2011 was confirmed by the Czech firm INTER-SAT LTD, which obtained the license for the TESLA brand from TESLA a.s. At its entry into the company, it clearly defined its goal: To resume the brand's golden era, which has had a good reputation among Czech and Slovak consumers for more than 70 years. TESLA products are made to measure for Czech and Slovak customers and utilize excellent knowledge of the Czech and Slovak environment. This is evidenced not only by control panels, manuals and product applications in Czech, but also by excellent domestic support and first-class service.
